Our main of wild Cornish turbot on the bone, sauce Duglere, button mushrooms, cucumber and mint with Maris Piper Chantilly was delicate and delicious. Our starters were superb native lobster dim sum in bisque, roasted Conference pear sorbet with lime, cheddar cream and carrot and cabbage stuffed with ox cheek and parsnip cream - all delectable. There is an interesting feature of the presentation of three starters, (no decisions to be made), a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian for the main and a dessert du jour. We opted for the set lunch menu which includes a half bottle of wine pp, bottle of water pp, coffee and petit fours. Everything is about flavour, the excitement of a new burst of taste is evident from the canapés to the amuse bouche. This is creative, innovative cooking at its finest.
